Any individual at Red Deer Polytechnic may submit a proposal to create, revise or rescind a policy. Under the Policy and Procedure Framework, the first step is to complete a Policy Vetting Form. The form is reviewed by the Manager, Judicial and Academic Affairs, who provides a response based on the details the requester has provided in the form, and provides guidance about how to navigate the next steps.
The President is responsible for the final approval of proposed academic, administrative and academic-administrative policies recommended to the President by Academic Council, Service Council and Deans' Council.
Questions regarding the content of a particular policy or procedure should be directed to the Policy Administrator or Procedure Administrator as identified in the document.
