Official Transcripts

(This page is part of the official Academic Calendar)

As of October 2020, Alberta Grade 12 students have the option to write diploma exams.  If an individual chooses not to write high school diploma exams, Red Deer Polytechnic will use an individual's high school course mark as received on transcripts from the Ministry of Education in Alberta for admission purposes.

Official high school and/or post-secondary transcripts are required to finalize admission decisions.

To be considered official, transcripts must be:

1.  Emailed directly from the issuing institution to: admissions@rdpolytech.ca

or

2.  Mailed directly from the issuing institution to:

Office of the Registrar
Red Deer Polytechnic
100 College Boulevard
Box 5005
Red Deer, AB Canada T4N 5H5

or

3.  Sent to RDP by the student, in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution with the institutional stamp or signature across the seal.

If you attended high school in Alberta or one of the post-secondary institutions listed below, we will request the transcripts on your behalf. Otherwise, you will need to request that your transcripts be sent directly to Red Deer Polytechnic.

Applicants to the following programs must submit official or in-progress transcripts by March 1, to be considered for admission to the next academic year:

Applicants with International Transcripts (including Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents)

RDP does not require applicants to submit out-of-country, post-secondary transcripts for admission to RDP programs EXCEPT for applicants from the Philippines.  If an applicant wants to request transfer credit for out-of-country post-secondary course work, they must submit official transcripts and course outlines/syllabi of their out-of-country education.

International transcripts may need to be assessed by IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Services).  If so, you might be charged an assessment fee. Go to International Admissions for more information including whether or not your transcript can be assessed by RDP or will require an IQAS assessment.
