This course is a survey of the decision processes in production and operations management, and the relationship to other business areas. Topics covered include forecasting, product and service design, capacity planning, waiting line models, facility location and layout, process selection, design of work systems, linear optimization, quality inspection and control, life cycle management, inventory management, aggregate planning, material requirements planning, project operations management, and operations scheduling. Prerequisite: BUS 306 or BADM 111 Must be a BBA student or have consent of the Donald School of Business.
