A senior course recommended for students who will be taking university calculus courses. Calculus topics include: limits and continuity; derivatives; graphing; applications of derivatives; integration; applications of integration. Topics in modern mathematics will be chosen from the mathematics of social choice, management science, growth and symmetry. MATH 097 is equivlanet to Math 31 for admission to RDC programs. Prerequisite/corequisite: MATH 096 or equivalent. Note: Students with an applied mathematics background from high school will be required to upgrade according to the results of their math placement test.
