This course examines a representative sampling of plays that appeared on the British and/or American stage during the middle and latter part of the Twentieth Century. The course investigates the conjunction of literature, culture, and social issues, examining economic, political, and gender determinants that intersect within individual works. Prerequisite: Full year of 200-level English.
