This course examines a representative sampling of plays that appeared on the British and/or American stage during the middle part of the Twentieth Century. The course investigates the conjunction of literature, culture, and social issues examining economic, political, and gender determinants that intersect within individual works. Prerequisite: Full year of a 200-level English. Note: This course may be repeated for credit.
