Prose and poetry from approximately 1600-1650 are studied. Poetry includes works by Donne, Herbert, Vaughn, Jonson, Marvel, Milton, and others. Prose includes readings from Bacon, Donne, Burton, Bunyan, and others. Prerequisite: Full year of 200-level English.
