Economic analysis of sports, with emphasis on professional team sports. Topics include demand for sports, the economic structure of leagues, winning and profitability, franchise values, pay and performance, free agency, arbitration, and discrimination. Policy issues such as competition law and government subsidies will also be considered. Prerequisite: ECON 201
