This course is a survey of the decision processes in production and operations management; and the relationship to other business areas. Topics covered include forecasting; product and service design; capacity planning; waiting line models; facility location and layout; process selection; design of work systems; linear optimization; quality inspection and control; life cycle management; inventory management; aggregate planning; material requirements planning; project operations management; and operations scheduling. Prerequisite: BUS 306 or BADM 111 Must be a BBA student or have consent of the Donald School of Business.
