Consideration of the contributions of psychological theory and research to the understanding of crime investigation; courtroom dynamics; and the legal system. Specific topics may include eye witness testimony; police practices; judge and jury decision making; lie detection and confessions; and expert testimony. Topics will be discussed from the perspectives of social and cognitive psychology. Prerequisite: Psyc 312
