Prose and poetry from approximately 1600-1650 are studied. Poetry includes works by Donne; Herbert; Vaughn; Jonson; Marvel; Milton; and others. Prose includes readings from Bacon; Donne; Burton; Bunyan; and others. Prerequisite: Full year of 200-level English.
