This course examines a representative sampling of plays that appeared on the British and/or American stage during the middle part of the Twentieth Century. The course investigates the conjunction of literature; culture; and social issues examining economic; political; and gender determinants that intersect within individual works. Prerequisite: Full year of a 200-level English. Note: This course may be repeated for credit.
