This course builds on the skills and knowledge developed in Carpentry Level I. This course is designed to meet the needs of teachers who do not have a Trades credential (journeyperson) and who would like to build on skills necessary to teach in a Career and Teachnology (CTS) carpentry shop setting. The course addresses specific content using Apprenticeship Individual Learning modules (ILMs). The focus is on learning how to teach in a shop environment; developing applicable carpentry skills; developing knowledge and skills regarding safety guidelines and regulations. In addition there is a focus on the development and assessment of projects suitable for shop use.
