Economic analysis of sports; with emphasis on professional team sports. Topics include demand for sports; the economic structure of leagues; winning and profitability; franchise values; pay and performance; free agency; arbitration; and discrimination. Policy issues such as competition law and government subsidies will also be considered. Prerequisite: ECON 201
